MUSEUM OF DEMOCRACY’S FUTURE LEADERS OF AMERICA CIVICS AWARD

 

The Museum of Democracy is pleased to announce its inaugural Future Leaders of America Civics Award for students currently enrolled in a U.S. college or university.

Deserving recipients are those who are passionate about making a difference in the world. Representing all backgrounds, students who have demonstrated a love of learning, a passion for American civics, politics and/or history, and a commitment to enhancing both their local and broader civic communities are encouraged to apply with a thoughtful 1,000 word essay outlining the applicant's passion for protecting, preserving and participating in our American democratic system.  

Essays will be reviewed by a panel of judges on an ongoing basis and deserving recipients will be notified via email, each receiving $500.

Applicant Criteria:

  • Currently enrolled undergraduate U.S. college student

Essay Criteria:

  • In no more than 1,000 words, please describe why you are passionate about protecting, preserving and participating in our American democratic system.  Minimum 500 words.

  • Examples of your community involvement, volunteer experience and leadership skills.
